What was Martha Stewart’s inspiration for her latest outdoor furniture collection?

SYRACUSE, Ind. — Prime outdoor living months are just around the corner, and lifestyle and entertaining icon Martha Stewart is inviting consumers to celebrate the casual lifestyle with a new collection at Polywood.

Channeling the rugged elegance of her Maine estate and paying homage to the state’s famous national park, Stewart and Polywood are introducing the Acadia Collection, a Craftsman-style outdoor group made in the U.S. with sustainable materials.

“Acadia celebrates the traditional Craftsman furniture that fills the rooms of my 1925 Carriage House in Maine,” Stewart said. “The collection embodies quiet elegance in solid, well-constructed frames — it’s a timeless classic that’s versatile, beautiful, and inviting.”

Company officials said that Acadia “draws inspiration from Stewart’s picturesque Skylands estate in Maine and is a return to the traditional forms of Craftsman furniture, defined by strong vertical lines that lend a subtle sense of grandeur.” As with all POLYWOOD furniture, the new collection is backed by an industry-leading 20-year warranty.

Like Martha Stewart by POLYWOOD’s Chinoiserie Collection, Acadia features a variety of outdoor furniture in earth-toned hues, including a 9-piece farmhouse dining set with trestle legs, a 6-piece lounge sofa set, and chaise lounges. Dining furniture starting at $655.00. Chaise lounges starting at $1,140.00, and deep seating sets starting at $1,995.00. Sets as well as individual pieces are available, allowing consumers to customize their outdoor space to fit their needs.

“Martha Stewart’s passion for beautiful, functional designs and American craftsmanship converge with POLYWOOD’s all-weather durability and superior American-made quality,” said Doug Rassi, Polywood founder and CEO. “Acadia pays homage to the serene landscapes of Martha’s Maine estate, and is engineered to withstand all four seasons, which is especially important for New England’s harsh climates.”

All genuine Polywood products are made in the U.S. from recycled and reusable plastics and are produced in 99% waste-free facilities in Syracuse, Indiana, and Roxboro, North Carolina. Stewart is the founder of multi-channel lifestyle company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, an entrepreneur, author of 99 (to date) lifestyle books, and Emmy Award-winning television show host that reaches more than 100 million fans through multi-media platforms and products for the home, sold through Martha.com and an extensive retail network.
