Bluewater Logistics’ chief development officer to retire


LENOIR, N.C. — Chief Development Officer Patrick Smith has decided to retire from Bluewater Logistics Group and Gulfstream Shippers Assn.

Smith worked as a partner and consultant to the company prior to joining full time as vice president, special projects in 2021. In January 2023, he was named to his current post. Smith led many large scale project integrations within the company guiding customers to efficient and effective supply chain solutions, the company said in a release.

After retirement, Smith plans to continue his consulting firm PSC of Southport NC.

“We were honored to be able to share these past several years having Pat serve as an esteemed member of our team,” said Tiffany Bowman, company president and CEO. “We were honored for many years before to have called him (as we still do today) a member of our family. Pat’s legacy in the organization is one that comes with history, hard work and determination.  We wish him and Kathy the very best in retirement and look forward to his consultancy in the years to come.”
