DETROIT — Top 100 retailer Gardner White Furniture & Mattress is celebrating its fifth year as sponsor of the 98th America’s Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit. The sponsorship will run at least three more years.
This year’s event, proclaimed as the second-oldest Thanksgiving parade in the country, takes place on Thursday, Nov. 28, starting at 10 a.m., and this year’s theme is “Miles of Smiles.”
As part of its 2024 recognition as a Best Places to Work company, Gardner White said that participating the annual parade is one of the things its employees love about working there.
With 2023 sales of $341.6 million, up 1.2% from the prior year, Gardner White ranks 33rd on Furniture Today’s Top 100, up five spots from last year’s list. It operates 13 stores in metro Detroit, Ann Arbor and Saginaw employing more than 1,000 people.
