BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Hours after Amazon announced its big fall pre-holiday promo, Walmart and Target swooped in with their own concurrent events. In both cases, the omni-channel retailers are starting earlier than Amazon and Walmart’s event is running longer.
What to know:
- Amazon is positioning its second Prime Day event of 2023 as an early holiday shopping opportunity. Officially called “Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days,” the sale begins Oct. 10 at 3 .m. ET and will continue through Oct. 11.
- Walmart announced that its “Walmart Deals – Holiday Kickoff’ savings event will begin Oct. 9 at 7:00p.m. ET, with deals running through Oct. 12.
- Target is reprising its “Target Circle Week” with a focus on holiday gifting and entertaining. It will run from Oct. 1-7.
Walmart is promising “hot deals” on thousands of gifts across home, electronics, fashion, toys and other categories. In addition, for holiday 2023 the retail is adding late-night Express Delivery through 10 p.m.
Target is adding more than 10,000 new items for the season. Its assortment will also include thousands of new items under $25 across home, apparel, food and essentials.
