Another recall: RH cribs tagged for choking hazard

WASHINGTON – The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of a series of upholstered cribs due to a choking hazard.

Sold at Restoration Hardware from January 2021 through this past March, the Jeune French upholstered panel cribs feature cylindrical metal inserts on a wooden frame that can become loose and detach, posing a choking hazard. No injuries have been reported, but two reports indicate loosening of the metal inserts.

Cribs were manufactured in Vietnam. They sold for between $600 and $2,900 at RH baby and child stores, RH outlets nationwide and online. Around 480 were sold.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the cribs and contact RH to receive a full refund of the purchase pricepr or a new replacement crib with no shipping charge.

This recall represents the eighth furniture recall in North America since late June. Seven have taken place in the U.S., and one occurred in Canada:
