BOULDER, Colo. – In a continued move to expand its retail footprint, Avocado Green Mattress has opened its 16th store here to give consumers access to the brand’s lineup. The store, which marks the company’s first outlet in the state of Colorado, features the company’s mattresses and furniture, as well as loungewear and skin care products.
In addition to opening its branded stores, the company has been pushing to partner with traditional sleep retailers, including Living Spaces and Mancini’s Sleepworld.
“We are extremely excited to be opening this new showroom,” said Brett Thornton, vice president of retail. “We’ve developed a unique shopping experience that is unlike anything in our industry. The Boulder space will carry on the same tradition of our other locations: an inspiring retail space where customers can relax and learn more about Avocado Green Brands.”
Throughout Avocado’s store network. RSAs are non-commissioned taking the pressure off consumers to buy. The company said it allows consumers to experience and explore the company’s products while asking questions as they arise.
The Boulder store has a similar feel to the other Avocado stores across the U.S. and features tables, shelves, and display fixtures made in the company’s Los Angeles-based woodshop using upcycled wood to meet its Zero Waste goals. Avocado tiled the floor with tile from Fireclay — a fellow Certified B Corp — and artist Leah Pantéa created a bespoke mural that depicts Avocado’s farm-to-mattress material sourcing concept.
“We wanted to create a space that reflected the regional Boulder vibe while representing Avocado’s values,” said Joanna Harrison, Avocado’s director of interior design. “The result is a warm, homey, chalet-like space with rustic western touches.”
