LENOIR, N.C. – Bernhardt Design, a division of Bernhardt Furniture specializing in seating and tables, has added four new products to its lineup. Each targets a blend of simplicity, form and function, says Bernhardt, and are expansions of existing lines.
The Prelude metal guest chair and barstool, the fourth and fifth additions to Claudia and Harry Washington’s Prelude seating collection, are meant to provide the “prelude” for the “meaningful activities of our lives.”
The Blitz chair, from designer Francesco Favaretto, has a curved back and cushioned seat supported by a wooden crossbar frame. It’s made of ash and is offered in various finish options.
Last up is the Border side table, from design student Yiting Hou, which was selected as the winning product from the interdisciplinary design studio sponsored by Bernhardt Design and the ArtCenter in Pasadena, Calif. The table combines elegance and balance, says Bernhardt, and is lightweight enough to be easily moved around.
