Bob’s boosts presence with Memorial Day openings and relocation


MANCHESTER, Conn. — Top 100 retailer Bob’s Discount Furniture opened a half dozen new showrooms and relocated one ahead of Memorial Day Weekend.

Located at 76 Orchard Hill Park Drive in Leominster, Mass., located north of Worcester, the city’s new Bob’s showroom is 26,708 square feet. During the grand opening, Bob’s made a pair of $2,500 donations, one to South Street Early Learning Cetner and one to Opportunities of Hope.

Bob’s also relocated a showroom to Burlington, Mass. in a 43,000-square-foot space in a former Bed Bath & Beyond at 3 Abbott Park. It replaces a showroom in Woburn, Mass. To celebrate, Shawsheen Valley Technical High School and the Mission of Deeds in Reading received $2,500 donations.

In Virginia, three showrooms opened. One was a 35,000-square-foot showroom in the Dulles Town Crossing retail center off of Atlantic Blvd. Two $2,500 donations were made during the opening, one to Park View High School and the other to Fancy Cats & Dogs Rescue Team.

Bob’s added a 37,809-square-foot showroom in a former Bed Bath & Beyond in Springfield. It contributed $2,500 each to Medical Care for Children Partnership Foundation and Springfield Estates Elementary School. A third Virginia grand opening took place for a 40,484-square-foot space in Chesapeake at 1324 Greenbrier Pkwy.

Additionally, Bob’s opened a 30,059-square-foot showroom, located at 10695 US-36 in Avon, Ind. with $2,500 donations made to Active Grace and George Washington High School.

In California, Bob’s opened a 30,000-square-foot showroom at 1405 East Gladstone Street in Glendora, and the retailer cut $2,500 checks to SPIRITT Family Services and the Charter Oak Education Foundation.

Bob’s Discount Furniture ranks No. 9 in Furniture Today’s 2024 Top 100 with $2.03 billion in sales across 171 showrooms in 2023.
