Bob’s boosts presence with pair of Memorial Day openings


MANCHESTER, Conn. — Top 100 retailer Bob’s Discount Furniture opened a pair of new showrooms ahead of Memorial Day Weekend.

A report by The Sentinel & Enterprise notes that the Manchester, Conn.-based retailer opened May 24 in Leominster, Mass. Another report in The Burn says Bob’s cut the ribbon that same day in Sterling, Va.

The Sentinel & Enterprise story notes that the showroom is located at 76 Orchard Hill Park Drive in the city, located north of Worcester. During the grand opening, Bob’s made a pair of $2,500 donations, one to South Street Early Learning Cetner and one to Opportunities of Hope.

In Virginia, the 35,000-square-foot showroom opened in the Dulles Town Crossing retail center off of Atlantic Blvd. Two $2,500 donations were made during the opening, one to Park View High School and the other to Fancy Cats & Dogs Rescue Team.

Bob’s Discount Furniture ranks No. 9 in Furniture Today’s 2024 Top 100 with $2.03 billion in sales across 171 showrooms in 2023.
