Chair King Backyard Store sets 3 new showrooms for 2024

HOUSTON — Outdoor furniture retailer Chair King Backyard Store says it expects to open at least three new showrooms in 2024.

The retailer will enter the Washington D.C. market with two new showrooms in the spring under its sister company Fortunoff Backyard Store. The new showrooms will be located in Virginia, which will make the seventh state for the brand.

In addition, the Chair King Backyard Store brand will open a Denton, Texas, showroom in the spring, bringing its total to seven locations serving the Dallas/Ft. Worth market.

The Denton showroom will be just over 12,000 square feet and will be located at 2608 W. University Drive, at Rayzor Ranch Marketplace.  When Fortunoff Backyard Store opens its Woodbridge, Va., location, it will increase the brand’s brick-and-mortar reach to six states. The second Virginia location is slated for the Falls Church community. This showroom, at 3536 S. Jefferson St., will be roughly 18,000 square feet.

“We have spent the last few years continuously improving the supply chain and our operations for our brands to ensure that we have the best possible products to offer our customers at a value that cannot be matched,” said David Barish, Chairman and CEO for both the Chair King Backyard Store and the Fortunoff Backyard Store brands. “This has put us in a position to grow our existing markets and to expand our footprint to make our products and services accessible to even more consumers.”

He added, “This will be the first of a multi-year expansion we have planned to grow in the Virginia market.”

Each showroom will feature a variety of outdoor decor as well as seating and dining groups made of materials including wicker, teak, cast aluminum, and more, all at price points that will appeal to every household.  Additionally, all showrooms cater to commercial-grade products to suit the needs of businesses throughout their footprint.
