DCOTA names new director of design services


DANIA BEACH, Fla. – The Design Center of the Americas, a resource center for design professionals throughout the South Florida region, has named Jorge Berrios as its new director of design services.

Berrios brings nearly a decade of experience in high-end interior design and has worked with several of South Florida’s leading commercial, residential and hospitality design firms.

At DCOTA, he will work with several luxury showrooms, optimizing the DCOTA’s Shop the Building Program, as well as managing the Select Showroom program and acting as a liaison between DCOTA and South Florida’s professional design community.

Previously, Berrios was senior interior designer at Adriana Hoyos Design Studio in Coral Gables, Fla. He had also worked with companies including Keuken Design & Services, 4141 Design Group and Brito Design Studio. He earned his BFA in Interior Design from the Miami International University of Art & Design, and a postgraduate diploma in architecture from American University in Managua, Nicaragua.
