Donald Trump to host campaign rally at Las Vegas World Market Center

The new The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas, a 315,000-square-foot exposition facility that will house the market’s gift and home temporaries, will be open for the start of the Aug. 30 market.

LAS VEGAS – Former President Donald Trump, who is currently running against Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, will host a campaign rally onsite at the World Market Center Friday afternoon, Sept. 13, and into the evening.

According to communication Andmore sent to market center tenants, the rally will be held at the Expo @ WMCLV after a planned rally in Reno, Nev., had to be relocated because of wildfires.

“Our decision to accept this business opportunity does not signify and endorsement of the political views or policies associated with the event; rather it is based on our commitment to inclusivity and providing a venue for diverse voices and a wide range of viewpoints,” the letter said.

Trump will be the second former U.S. president to be on campus at the Las Vegas Market Center, only this time instead of delivering a keynote speech, the vent will be a campaign rally. Bill Clinton delivered a keynote address during the summer 2011 market.

Details of Friday’s Trump rally include a media meeting in The Expo between 10 and 11 a.m., followed by U.S. Secret Service and law enforcement agencies go-ahead team sweeping “The Expo areas, parking garage and exterior areas.” Following the security protocol, Andmore said that the area will have a “heavy security presence” in The Expo, valet area and the parking garage.

The North Hall will be open at 1:30 p.m. for attendees, and the rally is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with Trump scheduled to make an appearance during the event.

Andmore said some areas will have “restricted access” and “potential weapons screenings.”

“We recommend planning accordingly, as certain areas may experience higher congestion, especially as you exit the parking garage at the end of the day,” the letter told tenants.

In the campaign, Trump and Harris participated in their first debate this week hosted in Philadelphia by ABC News.
