More than ten years have passed since Dorel Home first partnered with Bob and Cortney Novogratz on a small design project that would grow into the company’s longest and most successful licensed collection and partnership: The Novogratz.
This Market in High Point (Oct. 14-18), Dorel Home is celebrating the highly collaborative, decade-long effort with the famed husband-and-wife design team with a special, limited-edition collection that offers colorful updates to their most sought-after products.
Like the designs that have come before, the latest introductions combine the designers’ uninhibited sense of style with boutique-inspired furnishings that are budget-friendly, built to last and created with the modern family in mind. In fact, the new additions were inspired by The Novogratz’ Waverly Place home, notable for its splashes of stand-out color and family friendly vibe. Some, like the new Waverly Fireplace in a showstopping mustard yellow, are in fact drawn directly from the designers’ own living space.
“To say we’ve enjoyed great success throughout this decade-long partnership is a bit of an understatement,” said Dorel Home Vice President of Global Brand Partnerships Claudia Grundman. “The Novogratz team is truly a dream partner, and we credit a lot of the success in achieving this major milestone to the fact that Cortney and Bob are involved in every aspect of the business from product development to sales and marketing. They represent our most successful licensing partnership ever and we couldn’t ask for better.”
Based in New York City and Los Angeles, Robert, and Cortney Novogratz, known collectively as The Novogratz, have been designing residences, boutique hotels, pop-ups and more for more than 25 years and gained fame alongside their family as the stars of Bravo’s 9 by Design and HGTV’s Home by Novogratz. The authors of a number of best-selling design books are also the creative force behind Dorel Home’s licensed The Novogratz Collection, which has grown to include furniture pieces for every room of the home, as well as the outdoors.
“Time truly flies when you’re having fun, and nowhere is this sentiment more evident than in our remarkable 10-year partnership with Dorel Home,” said Bob and Cortney Novogratz. “It all started with two futons and a single metal bed, and it has since grown into a significant success with the realm of furniture design, boasting an impressive collection of over 900 SKUs.”
Indeed, the brand has steadily grown in popularity across North America and is now expanding into the European market. “This achievement stands as a testament to the power of teamwork, and a big thanks goes to the remarkable CEO of Dorel, Norman Braunstein, for his leadership. We’d also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each team member from DHP, Ameriwood, and Cosco who have been integral to our success over the past 10 years. Their dedication, hard work, and collaboration have played an indispensable role in bringing us to this milestone. We look forward to many more years of continued success and partnership!”
