Dutch Boy® Paints 2025 Color of the Year – Sincerely, Sara D.

I love color trends, and today I am sharing the Dutch Boy® Paints’ 2025 Color of the Year!

This is a sponsored post by Dutch Boy® Paints.  I take pride in reviewing only products that fit my brand and will benefit my readers. While this post is sponsored, all the opinions are my own.

Drumroll, please…

The color of the year is Mapped Blue 429-5DB!

Dutch Boy® Paints’ 2025 Color of the Year

It is a stunning bold blue with yellow undertones that work well with any decor style. Mapped Blue is inviting and would be beautiful on everything from a home’s exterior to kitchen cabinets to a half bath. This color is very universal.

I painted our mudroom/garage entry in Mapped Blue and used Dutch Boy® Paints’ Platinum® Plus Interior. I LOVE this paint + primer in one with Stain-Shield Technology. It has a durable finish with excellent hide and coverage. It makes any paint project simple.

Look at this view from my laundry room into the mud room – notice the contrast of the light space (my laundry room) with the beautiful color of the year. Mapped Blue can’t help but be noticed.

Since this is a heavily used space, I painted the space in a satin sheen. This allows for easy cleaning when wiping down the walls.

Mapped Blue works so well with natural wood tones. We have an old mail sorter turned shoe cubby in the space, and I love how the paint highlights the piece.

Here is a view from the mudroom into my kitchen. The Color of the Year compliments my navy-painted living room and breakfast nook wallpaper.
