Full-line furniture resource plans for 2025 market, breaking ground for new showroom


HIGH POINT – Essentials for Living broke ground today here on a new 23,000-square-foot High Point Market showroom building on North Wrenn Avenue.

In addition to showing the company’s product lineup, three-story building set to open mid-2025 will feature indoor and outdoor entertainment spaces and meeting areas. The top of the building will feature a roof-top bar.

Essentials Living acquired the property at 106 and 110 N. Main St. and demolished the existing building.

The company, formerly known as Star International Furniture Inc. and Orient Express Furniture, is based in Foothill Ranch, Calif. Essentials For Living has a range of products, including dining room, bedroom, upholstery, home office and outdoor.

Through its two quick-ship warehouses on the East and West coasts, the company works with customers through its retail, trade and e-commerce departments and offers a direct container program.

Coming into the spring High Point Market, the company said its temporary space  at 111 N. Wrenn St. would welcome customers this week.
