Gordon Brothers makes more Big Lots leases available


BOSTON — Global asset company Gordon Brothers has updated its list of available Big Lots leases nationwide.

The latest listing shows some 687 total leases in 47 states now available as part of the second phase, with another 191 added on top of the 496 listed in the first phase. The document with the listings indicates that all offers are due no later than Feb. 10 and that the properties range from 18,963 square feet to 58,433 square feet.

This most recent listing has 78 leases available in Texas; 57 in Florida; 56 in Ohio; 47 in New York; 42 in Pennsylvania; 32 in Indiana; 26 in Georgia; 25 each in Tennessee and Kentucky; 24 in Michigan; 19 in North Carolina; 16 each in South Carolina, Oklahoma, Alabama and Massachusetts; 15 each in Virginia, Illinois and Maryland; 14 each in Missouri and California; 13 in New Jersey; 11 in New Mexico; 10 in Louisiana; 9 each in Arkansas and Mississippi; 8 in West Virginia and Arizona; 6 in Connecticut; 5 in Oregon; 4 each in Washington, Colorado, New Hampshire and Delaware; 3 each in Maine, Kansas and Nevada; 2 in Wisconsin; and a single store in each of Rhode Island, North Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Montana, Utah, Vermont and Wyoming.

Gordon Brothers acquired the Top 100 retailer’s assets on Jan. 9, including its stores, distribution centers and intellectual property as part of Big Lots’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. As part of the acquisition, it plans to transfer at least 200 stores to Variety Wholesalers, Inc.
