HIGH POINT — The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation is seeking nominations for the Paul Broyhill Future Leaders Award, given during the April High Point Market.
The Paul Broyhill Future Leaders Award, named after one of the industry’s leading families and a company that focused on executive training, is given annually to five emerging leaders. Each candidate must be under 40 years of age and will be selected based on a points-based evaluation of the candidate’s leadership, potential for personal growth, communications skills and his or her commitment to the industry.
In addition to the award, recipients will receive a framed Certificate of Achievement signed by Hunt Broyhill, the published “Oral History of Paul Hunt Broyhill” and an invitation to dinner with five other Future Leaders and five inducted members of the Hall of Fame.
They also will be made members of the Leaders Circle of the Hall of Fame and invited to its activities. Honorees also are automatically accepted into the prestigious American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Leadership Institute at High Point University.
“One of the highlights of the evening is a guided discussion over dinner which brings together today’s young minds with the wisdom and experience of inducted members of the Hall of Fame,” said Karen McNeill, Hall of Fame CEO and president of the board of directors. “The exchange is meaningful not just for the encouragement and recognition, but also for the exposure to generational points of view that benefits the inductees as much as those being recognized. This interchange of ideas is what the Hall of Fame is all about.”
