HOLLAND, Mich. – Haworth Lifestyle, Haworth’s luxury Italian furniture division, has acquired KJ Ryan, a U.K.-based manufacturer and designer of high-end interior components for luxury cars. Haworth acquired KJ under its Poltrona Frau furniture brand.
Poltrona Frau is known for its furniture for residential and contract spaces but the brand’s Interiors in Motion Business Unit also upholsters the leather interiors for high-end automotive brands like Ferrari, according to Haworth. The company said that its a strategic acquisition, helping it expand its presence in the UK and its capabilities within the luxury automotive sector.
“By integrating KJ Ryan within Poltrona Frau’s Interiors in Motion Business Unit, the brand will become the European leader in the development and manufacturing of interiors for luxury and bespoke vehicles,” Haworth said in a release.
The integration will result in a revenue of approximately 120 million Euros with 600 employees across three manufacturing plants. Facilities are located in Tolentino and Montegranaro, Italy, as well as in Coventry, U.K.

The acquisition comes on the heels of Haworth Lifestyle’s partnership with luxury consumer brand Ralph Lauren. Per the partnership, Haworth has agreed to “expand and grow” Ralph Lauren’s home and furniture business, while also developing for the brand a network of new freestanding Home retail stores.
In 2023, the Lifestyle group acquired Zanotta, a historic, high-end Italian furniture designer and maker.
