Headed to Atlanta Market this winter? You’ll want to see what’s up outdoors

ATLANTA — AmericasMart Atlanta will introduce the “Elevate Outdoor – Designer Experience,” a new event designed to educate and inspire designers in the casual and outdoor furnishings sector. Taking place Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, during the Winter Atlanta Market, the day-long program features educational sessions, networking opportunities and exclusive incentives.

“Consumer interest in outdoor living spaces is growing, and AmericasMart Atlanta’s casual/outdoor collection is perfectly positioned to help designers meet this demand,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Andmore. “This focused day of programming offers designers the chance to connect with key suppliers, explore emerging trends and develop or expand services in the outdoor category.”

The event spans five floors of AmericasMart’s casual and outdoor furnishings showrooms, offering a curated lineup of activities, including:

  • “Memberships & Mimosas” (10-10:30 a.m.), hosted by Woodard Furniture, introduces attendees to trade-exclusive benefits.
  • “Sustainable Performance Fabrics – From Fibers to Design” (noon-1:30 p.m.), a CEU-accredited session presented by Polywood and Sunbrella, explores sustainability in luxury fabric design.
  • “Getting Published in the Social/Digital Age” (2-3 p.m.), hosted by the International Casual Furnishings Assn., features Kelly Peterson, principal of Highpoint Marketing and former group advertising director of Hearst Corp., who will share strategies for promoting design work online and in print.
  • “Cocktails & Casual” (4-6 p.m.), a networking happy hour across AmericasMart’s outdoor collection.

The event also includes giveaways, prize drawings and gifts for participants, with additional perks for early arrivals at select sessions.
