HIGH POINT — High Point by Design, an organization that promotes and supports High Point as a year-round destination for design and creativity, has appointed three new members to its board.
Dawn Brinson, founder of communications and marketing firm A New Day, was elected vice president. Tammy Nagem, CEO and president of the High Point Market Authority, and Melody Burnett, president of Visit High Point, were both appointed to at-large positions.
Additionally, human resources specialist Emily Mansfield, formerly assistant secretary, has taken on the role of secretary.
The three board members who have been with HPXD from the start — John Muldoon of Cohab.Space, Tom Verellen of Verellen Furniture and Tom van Dessel of Splashworks — will be recognized with a permanent founding member position on the board. HPXD will also buy a brick in their honor for the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame’s Pathways of Honor.
HPXD welcomes the design trade to visit its network of 40 showrooms by appointment yearround. It also creates custom tours for individual firms and groups.
