WADENA, Minn. — Steve Mangano has joined the residential sales team at Homecrest Outdoor Living. Mangano will represent the company’s line of outdoor furniture in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
Mangano began his career in retail as a management trainee at Federated Department Stores, the corporate headquarters for retailers including Filene’s, Abraham & Strauss and Lazarus, and worked as a buyer for home furnishings at Allied Stores in Queens, N.Y. He became an outdoor furniture buyer for Fortunoff in the 1980s.
In 1991, Mangano transitioned to his career as a sales representative in the patio, hearth and barbecue industry. Company officials said that his background in retail “made the transition to sales seamless, giving him a greater understanding of the issues and concerns that dealers face.”
Founded in 1953, Homecrest Outdoor Living designs and manufactures luxury outdoor furniture on location in Wadena, Minn. Homecrest furniture is built to commercial specifications for use in both residential and hospitality environments.
