SHANGHAI – Visitor growth at the recent edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles included an increase in international attendees.
The spring edition of the semi-annual expo last month drew more than 25,000 visitors from 85 countries and regions, up 8% from the March 2024 event, according to fair organizer Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. The number of international visitors doubled from last year, the organization reported, although it did not provide specific information. The trade fair featured more than 370 exhibitors.
“We observed various trends, but prominent themes were sustainability and smart bedding solutions, as more exhibitors are increasingly incorporating technology and eco-friendly practices into their materials and production processes,” said Wilmet Shea, general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.
The autumn edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles is scheduled to take place from Aug. 20-22 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
