Lifelong furniture sales rep, Cliff Bruber, passes away at 92


ST. PAUL, Minn. — Furniture sales representative Clifford W. “Cliff” Bruber passed away March 24 from complications of pneumonia. He was 92.

Bruber began working in the wholesale juvenile clothing and furniture business in the late 1950s, working for the Floyd Risvold Company in Minneapolis. In 1961, he went to work with his brother, Carl Bruber, representing Schneider Furniture Manufacturing in Omaha, Neb. Cliff Bruber’s territory was North and South Dakota, eventually expanding to include Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.

In the mid 1970s, Bruber began representing Impact Furniture along with other companies.  When Impact was sold, he went to work for Pilliod, Bassett and Cramco.

Bruber is survived by his younger children and their mother, Elizabeth; his older children and their mother, Beverly; and a sister.

A celebration of life service will be held on June 8 in St. Paul.
