MIFF opens registration for 2025 tradeshow

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Malaysia International Furniture Fair (MIFF) is ready to kick off the Asia 2025 buying season with 85% of its exhibitor space already booked.

Set for March 1-4, 2025, buyer registration is now open for the show, which will take place at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre and World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, filling 17 exhibition halls of 100,000 square meters.

MIFF celebrated its 30th anniversary this year with a record-breaking 715 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, with a 6% increase in national attendees (to 5,419) from 120 countries and regions.

Organiser Informa Markets Malaysia is stepping up its engagement across all touch points to elevate customer experience with strong emphasis on business growth, networking and hospitality.

“As a pivotal event in Asia’s furniture calendar, MIFF is the gateway for business and cross border opportunities for global growth,” said Kelie Lim, MIFF general manager for show organizer Informa Markets Malaysia. “Our plan is to elevate the experience to the next level for exhibitors and buyers that evolves around their needs. We want to inspire more fun on the aisles and get more business done.”

The Malaysian furniture industry sees the trade show as a vital platform to reach a global audience.

“It is very heartening for the Muar Furniture Assn. to work as a strategic partner of MIFF for the past 12 years,” said Steve Ong, president of the MFA. “The innovative approach of the show has kept it resilient and it continues as a vital platform for Malaysian furniture makers to engage face-to-face with buyers and prospective partners from all over the world.”

In addition to the main event showcasing residential, office and commercial furniture, MIFF will feature young designers in the xOrdinary Showcase, which promotes their creative works and ideas, and in the MIFF Furniture Design Competition FDC. FDC 2025 will be the catwalk for the fusion of fashion and furniture ideas under the theme “The Fashion Inspired Furniture.”

The trade show launched several digital initiatives to allow visitors to navigate the show more efficiently, and for 2025 MIFF will add a new buyer referral to its Valued Visitor Privilege buyer program, offering complimentary hotel accommodations to first time visitors.

Show organizers also offer meet-and-greet service at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to help attendees through immigration check points and to provide limousine vouchers to travel to the city.
