JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Rolling up sleeves and jumping in for hurricane relief, Mlily USA and its retail partner here Mattress Outlet of Johnson City teamed up to donate 220 mattresses to area residents in need following Hurricane Helene.

Mlily has pledged to make additional mattress donations in other areas, including North Carolina and Florida, hit by recent storms. The mattress manufacturer is working in tandem with its retail network in those states to deliver the needed products.

Gregg Layne and Grayson Layne delivered the mattresses to Mattress Outlet, which turned around hosted the mattress giveaway. The beds were distributed within an hour.

Based in Knoxville, Tenn., Mlily has committed to donating and delivering 3,000 mattresses to about eight locations, working with retailer partners in three states to help get them to individuals and local organizations in need of supplies and temporary shelter. In addition to working with local retailers, the company has been coordinating efforts with local YMCAs, Buncombe County Emergency in North Carolina, and the East Tennessee Fund.

“As a company with deep ties to Tennessee and the Carolinas, we feel a strong sense of responsibility to support those in need, especially in the wake of disasters like Hurricane Helene,” said Derek Leishman, MLILY national sales director. “With our donation of mattresses, we hope to provide a bit of comfort and relief to families as they begin the difficult process of recovery.”

The company has always been quick to support disaster relief and recovery. Following devastating tornadoes in Tennessee and Georgia in recent years, Mlily donated hundreds of mattresses and pillows to residents in the affected areas.
