EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. — Longtime furniture retailer Robert Stephen Beckinger passed away on July 26. He was 81.
Born May 4, 1942, Beckinger began working in his grandfather’s furniture store while he was still in school. When his father retired, Beckinger opened his own store in the greater Sacramento area in 1976, Beck’s Furniture. The retailer opened two more locations in 1993 and in 2005.
Beckinger is survived by three children, Danielle, Stacia and Tony; six grandchildren; and his brother, Gary Beckinger.
