NEW YORK – As global import tariffs loom, Natco Home is doubling down on its U.S. production capabilities to meet demand for performance-driven area rugs that are readily accessible.
“In these uncertain times, with the ongoing impact of tariffs on imported goods, our ability to produce high quality, USA-made products is a major advantage for our customers,” Michael Litner, owner and president of Natco Home, told Furniture Today’s sister publication Home Textiles Today. “Our U.S.-based production ensures quick response times, which is critical for retailers navigating the current market challenges.”
A fourth-generation, family-owned business, Natco Home operates one of the largest private home textiles production networks in the nation. Its domestic operations span 1.3 million square feet of total manufacturing and warehousing space collectively in Sanford, Maine, and Dalton, Ga.
Natco’s Georgia facility produces fashion-forward, value-priced rugs. Its Maine-based facility produces fashion-forward woven rugs, including polypropylene and polyester constructions.
New to the latter is Natco Home’s Custom Rugs Program. Set to launch at the New York Home Fashions Market, this program lets retailers choose from an extensive range of floor covering styles and sizes, all manufactured in the U.S. The offering include rugs in multiple constructions, such as super soft loop pile, indoor/outdoor sisal and power-loomed varieties.
“Speed and flexibility are key in today’s market,” added Michelle LaRovere, president of textiles, Natco Home. “By manufacturing domestically, we’re able to ship custom-sized rugs in 30 days or less, offering the perfect fit for any space.”
Importing remains a key component of Natco Home’s business, and it continues to grow its international presence in Egypt, Turkey and with Flemish Master Weavers, which all add to the company’s diverse product portfolio.
