Why I Built this Project
I purchased a beautiful nativity set from Amazon and wanted to create an authentic looking wood backdrop stable for it. This is a beautiful set that adds meaning and beauty to our home.
I have it set up on our entryway console to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!
Why We Love this Wood Stable for Nativity Scene Project
- Built with a cedar fence picket, this stable can cost as little as $5 to make
- Great kids project to tackle together, and an opportunity to celebrate the birth of Jesus
- Beautiful decor element, we love how this project adds to our Christmas decor
- Paint or stain any color, so your nativity scene works with your home and other decorations
How I Built this Project
This project is fast and easy to build with a few tools. You should use a miters to make cuts that are accurate and fast.
I cut the pieces according to the cut list.
Then I glued the back pieces together, and to the bottom. I then nailed the bottom to the back pieces.
Then we attached the roof and front pieces with glue and brad nails.
After filling holes with wood filler and a light sanding, this is how it looks!
