Spectra Home visitor wins Chair of Hope raffle

HIGH POINT – A winner has been named for a one-of-a-kind Chair of Hope giveaway at the Spectra Home showroom.

At the October High Point Market, Spectra Home visitors wrote their special healing intentions on a linen fabric, which was used to upholster a Tamara Day by Spectra Home Meyer Chair.

Infused with hope, the chair was raffled off after the April market to benefit The Common Thread for The Cure Foundation, which provides grants to assist individuals affiliated with the design and furnishings industry, who are fighting breast cancer.

The winner of the Chair of Hope was Sarabeth Cahoon from Pinetown, N.C.

“My sister-in-law had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” said Cahoon. “I walked into the Spectra Home showroom at market, and once I saw the chair, I knew that I needed to try and win it for her. She is very spiritual, and I know that this chair with all its healing energy will be a great comfort to her on her cancer journey.”

“Spectra Home Furniture would like to thank our partners for their generosity in making this Chair of Hope happen,” said President Jim Telleysh, adding, “We know that this Chair of Hope will make a difference in someone’s life when they need it the most.”

Partnering with Spectra Home were: Tamara Day and her team; Shayne Global, providing the Meyer chair; Port Orange Upholstery, Thomasville, N.C., reupholstering the chair; Studio 323, High Point, providing the chair photography; and The Media Matters.

Spectra Home is also donating a portion of the proceeds from the Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection to the Foundation.
