HENDERSON, Nev. – Standard Fiber has added a new Atlanta production and distribution center that it calls “a major investment to enhance customer service and reduce logistical costs across its diverse business segments.”
The new180,000-square-foot warehouse and fulfillment facility with state-of-the-art machinery is set to open this summer, and it is designed to match the company’s Henderson, Nev., facility that offers drop-ship fulfillment, pillow and dog bed filling.
“Our business model requires strategically located, multi-site capabilities to ensure reliability, increased customer delivery speed and reduced transportation costs,” said Rob Tillman, newly appointed chief operating officer, a new role for the company.
Tillman will oversee Standard Fiber’s facilities in Atlanta, Henderson and Mexico.
The Atlanta facility is located close to major highways and the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as well as being situated less than four hours from the Port of Savannah.
