BOISE, Idaho — Modern furniture designer and retailer Scandinavian Designs has plans to open in Tallahassee, Fla., according to a report from the Tallahassee Democrat.
The paper says the Boise, Idaho-based retailer plans to renovate a five-acre parcel at 1625 Apalachee Parkway, which includes “interior renovation and exterior paint of a 40,068-square-foot former Toys R Us.”
In July, Scandinavian Designs was one of the retailers that won the rights to former Bed Bath & Beyond leases when it picked up a site in Cincinnati. In late 2022, it opened its first East Coast showroom in Waldorf, Md.
According to its website, Scandinavian Designs currently has 46 showrooms in 15 states, not counting its Ohio and Florida plans.
