LAS VEGAS — The Ante4Autism fundraiser set a new record last weekend, raising nearly $163,000 at its 16th annual event. Bringing in $162,957 for five Autism charities brings the total raised over the past 16 years to $1,477,447.
The event drew more than 100 players, along with more than 100 other people who stopped by to watch the action and participate in the silent auction. The top three players for the evening were Amy Wingate, Apollo Jett Grand Champion; Larry Barnard, second place; and Jared Carlitz, third place.
This event supports the families, kids and adults on the Autism spectrum, which the Centers for Disease Control says one in 36 children are on the spectrum.
The 5 Autism related charities that will receive the proceeds from this year’s event include: Autism Speaks, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital – The Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, Grant A Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center, National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio, and Stockhands Horses for Healing. All the charities are listed and linked on the Ante4autism.com website.
