5% price hike coming for Jonathan Charles in July


Vietnam-made high-end furniture brand says the increase is in response to tariff pressures and needed to preserve quality standards.

HIGH POINT — High-end case goods and upholstery resource Jonathan Charles has implemented a across its product range, the company said in an email to its customers yesterday.

Garth Robinson, vice president of sales, stated that the company had previously delayed adjustments in hopes of market stabilization.

“While many in our industry implemented changes as early as April, we made the thoughtful decision to wait over 60 days, hoping for increased clarity and stability in the market,” he wrote in the email.

Robinson said the company worked to improve operational efficiencies and identify cost-saving measures before deciding on the price adjustment, which the company said excludes its most recent round of product introductions in April of this year.

“This step is essential to maintain the quality, reliability and service standards that you have come to expect from us,” he said.

Robinson acknowledged the challenges the increase may pose for retail partners but emphasized the company’s continued commitment to premium products and strong customer relationships.

The company said it remains optimistic about the future despite current economic headwinds.
