FREDRICKSBURG, Ohio — The tiered arches of the Colosseum in Rome, the peaks and valleys of the New York City skyline and even the Gothic Era’s flying buttresses cathedrals are all part of the architectural inspiration behind the latest collection introduction from a high-end Ohio furniture factory.
Abner Henry has released a 25-SKU collection of furniture and case goods pieces inspired by natural movements found within nature and European architecture and showcasing some of the world’s most iconic structures reimagined as luxury furniture.
“This collection significantly enhances our current line by further showcasing the remarkable versatility in styles achievable at Abner Henry,” said LaVern Hershberger, president and creative director. “The absence of a fixed aesthetic or curated theme within this collection serves to magnify the extraordinary spectrum of styles that our designers can skillfully create using our products.”
Custom made to order in Abner Henry’s Ohio factory in 10 to 16 weeks, the new pieces range in price from $7,000 to $25,000 retail. Hershberger said that the company’s customization capabilities include more than 600 wood finishes and handmade metal finishes, offering numerous personalized design options.
“The final consumer we envision is one who possesses a profound appreciation for the artistry inherent in the meticulous crafting of each individual item,” Hershberger said. “This discerning individual also places great value on products that uphold sustainable practices, particularly those produced within the United States. As founding members of the Sustainable Furniture Council, our commitment to sustainability resonates deeply within each item we craft. Furthermore, our entire factory operates off the grid, solidifying our dedication to environmentally responsible manufacturing processes.”
Hershberger added that each piece in the collection is a “culminating reflection of our commitment to be rooted in the past and pioneer the future,” exemplifying the company’s ethos.
“It seamlessly intertwines time-honored craftsmanship techniques with pioneering innovation, resulting in furniture pieces that gracefully blur the boundary between art and function,” Hershberger said. “This fusion is further enhanced by our unwavering dedication to customization, ensuring each piece is tailored to individual preferences, and the fact that every creation is meticulously made to order.”
