Bedding Industries of America expands split-head line to 5 collections at Vegas

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. – First introduced by Bedding Industries of America a year ago, the Eclipse Glacier Black Ice mattress is expanding to five collections that will take center stage in the BIA showroom at the upcoming Las Vegas Market.

“Adjustable bases laid the groundwork for the split-head trend, but it was only the start,” said Phillip Carlitz, chief operating officer. “The introduction of the Eclipse Glacier Black Ice mattress catapulted our split-head bed offering, and since then the segment has emerged as one of our most rapidly growing sectors, with dealers reporting exceptional sell-through rates.”

In Las Vegas, the company’s split-head line-up spotlights the Eclipse Glacier Black Ice collection, with a foam-encased pocket-coil support system and a quilted, taped cover. It features cooling fibers in the fabrics, as well as cooling components within the mattress (copper visco, nano coils and natural latex), and it incorporates BIA’s proprietary ultra-HD Lifedge foam encasement system, allowing the mattress to be roll-packed and shipped via UPS or FedEx.

The collection includes three levels: C (copper), CN (copper and nano coils) and LN (latex and nano coils). Black Ice Copper-Nano is crafted with 2 inches of naturally anti-bacterial, anti-odor and moisture-wicking copper-infused visco, as well as more than 1,000 1-inch nano coils, and covered with quilted ICE-Cool fabric. Black Ice Latex-Nano is crafted with pocketed coils surrounded by targeted layers of 100% natural Talalay latex, 1,000 nano coils, and a quilted cover made with ICE-Cool fabric.

BIA also will feature its Embrace Sleep collection, a three-model line of split-head king and queen beds in 8-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch heights. The mattresses are made with Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS)-certified Dunlop latex encased in a zipper cover.

BIA’s showrooms is located at B-1118 in the World Market Center Las Vegas.
