DALLAS — Registration is open for Young Professionals University (YPU), an annual event for buying group BrandSource’s young adult demographic, scheduled for Aug. 24-25 at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas. This two-day gathering aims to combine education, industry insights, networking and social activities for attendees aged 20 to 40.
The event will begin on Saturday with a group outing to Paradise Springs Water Park, followed by a dinner reception. Sunday’s agenda is packed with sessions designed for the independent retail industry’s emerging leaders.
Highlights of the events lined up include:
- Keynote speaker Paul Long will deliver a talk titled “Reframing Resilience: The Power of Meaningful Connection,” offering tactical advice for creating impactful interactions.
- Experts from AVB Marketing will discuss the future of AI and the importance of connected point-of-sale systems.
- BrandSource’s Vice President of Merchandising Chad Evans will present an in-depth industry update.
- Motivational speaker David Romano will lead a session titled “It’s Not Only About You,” focusing on understanding and motivating others.
The event concludes with a Young Professional meet-up at 6 p.m., which transitions into the Welcome Reception for BrandSource’s Convention 2024.
