Dallas Market Center reports strong Total Home event in January


DALLAS – Last month’s Total Home & Gift Market at Dallas Market Center welcomed more new attendees and steady order writing, according to the market center.

“There was a strong turnout and enthusiasm at Total Home and Gift Market,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Attendance rebounded following unexpected weather, and we welcomed a record number of new attendees to the marketplace.”

There were several new, relocated and expanded showrooms at the January show, including:

  • New: ArtVia Design; Christian Art Gifts; Coco & Dash To The Trade, multi-line showroom; Laribbons and Crafts, wrapping and ribbon; Laura Park Designs/Prince of Scots; Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, in the Surya showroom; Textile Salon, including Kravet, H&M Designs and Dallas Rugs; Vivian Watson Associates, hardware and furniture
  • Expanded: American Best, Anne McGilvray, Melrose/Ekkolight Infinity Lights, Olivia Riegel, Oriental Trimmings, Pasha Furniture, Patrick & Co., Porch View Home, Zaer
  • Relocated: Ashore, Boston Mills, Crestview Collection, Giftcraft

Among the events at this winter’s Total Home & Gift Market was the 35th ARTS Awards, hosted by Thom Filicia and Carson Kressley. The ARTS Awards included category awards as well as a special Academy of Achievement honor for Andy Singer, founder and CEO of Visual Comfort; the Trailblazer award to Lois Del Negro, co-founder of Global Views; and a special HEARTS Award presented to The H Foundation honoring its annual cancer fundraising event.
