RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif. – Looking forward to an epic flight, Diamond Mattress is readying for takeoff with the introduction of its first smart bed sleep system at the winter Las Vegas Market, Jan. 28-Feb. 1.
The new Auto Pilot system is designed to deliver more restorative sleep, according to company executives, by adjusting and adapting to the sleeper throughout the night. Diamond Mattress is also making the system available for retailers as a private-label program supported by marketing and branding.
Diamond conducted a soft launch with La Mirada, Calif-based Living Spaces, the top 100 retailer with 37 stores, to glean feedback from consumers and RSAs on the product. Other retailers previewed the product in July 2023 and offered feedback.
Bolstered by a cadre of features to enhance the sleep experience, Auto Pilot is controlled manually via a wireless remote or through a mobile app. It is equipped with a dual-purpose relaxation mode with a wave motion from head to toe to encourage sleep or to wake users. A patented smart cell, body-sensing technology contained in eight independently controlled zones makes that possible.
The mobile app helps track sleep data and provides daily, monthly and yearly statistics to allow the user to understand their unique sleep style and optimal comfort needs. That data-driven technology gives the user control over how to customize the sleep experience.
