Therapedic turns to Greek mythology to name new natural collection

PRINCETON, N.J. – Therapedic International is evoking Nyx, the Greek goddess of the night, with its newest all-natural, organic luxury mattress collection set to debut at the upcoming Las Vegas Market, Jan. 28-Feb. 1.

The collection is designed using natural and organic materials while hitting an accessible luxury price point. The mattresses – two available in tight-top designs and two in pillowtop style – carry a suggested retail range of $2,499 to $2,999 in queen mattress only.

The collection name is borrowed from the goddess said to have been one of the first beings created, according to Greek mythology.

CEO Gerry Borreggine said the company remains committed to delivering the best-built products with the value proposition the company is built on. The Nyx collection is being offered with limited and exclusive distribution to key dealers in each territory.

The four-model collection features certified 100% organic cotton fabrics for natural breathability and softness. The certified 100% organic latex offers natural breathability and responsiveness and support in the comfort layer. It also features Joma Memory Wool, a natural alternative to memory foam that provides body contouring and pressure relief.

Borreggine said not only are the components that are used important, but also the materials Therapedic chose to leave out. Neither polyurethane foam nor fiberglass were used in making the Nyx collection. The PURLoft FR fiber, a blend of GOTS-certified organic wool and inherent FR rayon are used for FR coverage.

“The new Nyx collection embodies the best of the Therapedic group’s capabilities from research and product development to manufacturing and marketing,” Borreggine said. “It demonstrates the depth of our understanding of the marketplace from the dealer level to the end-consumer, and we’re creating new opportunities for our customers who look to us to differentiate in an increasingly competitive field.”

The collection, along with Therapedic’s newly redesigned Heavy-Duty lineup and the new hybrid Agility collections, will be available in the company’s Las Vegas Market showroom, B-946.
