Hooker implements new strategy of 4 brands; Mike Harris out as president

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Hooker Furnishings has eliminated the position of president of Hooker Furniture, and Mike Harris, former president, is no longer with the company.

The company said the move is part of its new “collaborative” strategy for merchandising and marketing across its four legacy brands.

“Through a more collaborative effort between our Bradington-Young, Hooker Furniture, HF Custom and M brands, we can better leverage the strengths of our global case goods expertise and domestic upholstery manufacturing capabilities to provide our customers with a well-rounded product offering that addresses the whole home,” said Jeremy Hoff, CEO of Hooker Furnishings.

Harris joined the company in 2018 as vice president of sales for case goods and upholstery. He was named president of Hooker Furniture in 2021. Prior to joining Hooker, Harris was vice president of sales for HTL International, and before his time there, spent more than eight years at Legacy Classic Furniture where he was president and vice president of sales. Harris was also in sales for a number of other furniture companies including Kevin Charles Furniture, Palliser and Catnapper.

“We want to thank Mike Harris for his six years with our company,” Hoff said. “We are extremely grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best.”

The company said it will announce more on the new initiative at a later time.
