India’s B2B platform for handicraft products expands U.S. presence


DALLAS — Expo Bazaar, a cross-border B2B platform showcasing curated products from India, has expanded its presence in the U.S. market with a new showroom at the Dallas Market Center.

Expo Bazaar opened its first showroom in Atlanta for the July 2023 Atlanta Market and plans to continue its expansion in the U.S. with a new Chicago showroom opening later this week.

Expo Bazaar is equipped with a U.S. warehouse for “just in time” local deliveries, offering products that span more than 15 categories and more than 500 Indian brands.

“In our pursuit of excellence, Expo Bazaar is dedicated to fostering a direct connection between buyers and small producers in the remote clusters of India,” said Dr. Rakesh Kumar, chairman of IEML and Expo Bazaar, adding, “At Expo Bazaar, we embrace sustainability as a core value, recognizing India’s global reputation for its steadfast commitment to sustainable efforts.”

Dileep Baid, chairman of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), an industry support partner for Expo Bazaar, added that these U.S. showrooms signify the brand’s dedication to promoting Indian brands and their products globally.

Jay Dhawan, vice president of sales and marketing, Expo Bazaar USA, highlighted the company’s proactive approach to market expansion, stating, “We are actively expanding our sales representative network, collaborating closely with multiple sales rep agencies. This concerted effort enables us to extend our reach across 42 states in the U.S., fostering a comprehensive and robust network to better serve our customers nationwide.”

EPCH is an agency promoting the export of handicrafts from India. IEML is an Asian venue owner that hosts the IHGF Delhi Fair, one of the biggest handicraft fairs of Asia showcasing home, lifestyle, fashion, gifts, and accent furniture.
