Landscape Forms to build new manufacturing facility in Michigan

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Designer-manufacturer of outdoor furniture Landscape Forms is set to construct a new production facility adjacent to its existing operations in Comstock Township, Mich. The company says the expansion will support its growing operations and commitment to fostering local talent.

The project, backed by a $2.5 million performance-based grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund, represents a $70 million investment and is expected to create at least 125 new jobs.

“Landscape Forms has been a Michigan-based company since its inception over 55 years ago. We value our partnership with the State of Michigan as the support provided was pivotal in our decision to expand our campus in Comstock Twp./Kalamazoo,” said CEO Marjorie Simmons. “The new state-of-the-art, sustainable manufacturing facility will allow us to attract and retain top manufacturing talent in Michigan to support our future growth.”

The company has earned recognition for employee-focused initiatives, including a certified in-house welding academy and state-certified apprenticeship programs for machinists and industrial maintenance workers.

Landscape Forms said the expansion aligns with the state’s broader efforts to invest in outdoor recreation industries while contributing to job creation and economic development in Kalamazoo County.
