MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Family-owned retailer Quality Furniture Co. here is going out of business after 56 years and is conducting its final liquidation sale.
Husband-and-wife owners Butch and Carolyne Jones have partnered with furniture promotional sales specialists Planned Furniture Promotions to handle the going-out-of-business sale events. Following the sale, the couple plans to retire after more than 20 years of devoted leadership.

Founded in 1969 by John Morris, Quality Furniture Company has been a cornerstone of the Murfreesboro community for more than five decades. Known for its high-quality furniture and personalized customer service, the store has remained family-owned and operated throughout its history. Morris’ stepson, Butch Jones and his wife Carolyne took over the family business in 2005 and have carried on the family legacy through their dedication to serving others and commitment to integrity.
The final sale opened to the public on May 8, and the 20,000-square-foot building is available for lease.
