Morris turns to Blueport for e-commerce; here’s why

DAYTON, Ohio — Top 100 retailer Morris Furniture Co. has launched an omnichannel website powered by Blueport.

The Dayton, Ohio-based retailer, which operates 21 Morris Home and Ashley furniture and mattress showrooms in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio, and northern Kentucky set out to elevate its online presence and unify shopping experiences across all channels.

Officials felt Blueport offered a platform that would enhance its e-commerce capabilities while staying true to the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction. With Blueport, Morris has been able to leverage a robust set of ready-to-use features while customizing the platform to reflect its unique brand identity and business needs.

“Our ongoing pursuit is to build an inspiring experience that helps our customers find and engage with our unique product offerings just like our beautiful showrooms,” said Jeremy Klaben, assistant vice president of technology. “Blueport’s tech suite now fuels this pursuit on the front-end and the back end of our site. We not only are featuring more products and more customizable offerings, we also are utilizing Blueport’s features to offer the best discounts, approachable financing offers and exclusive offers for our customers. We will continue to listen to our customers’ needs and improve our site with these new capabilities highlighting Style for Less. We are just beginning and very excited about our roadmap for 2025.”

Blueport’s OneView technology is integrating with Morris’ LOFT system to ensure that website and store pricing, promotions and product availability are always in sync. The technology enables Morris Home customers to shop in-store or online. Shoppers who start their shopping experience with a store sales associate can now complete their purchase, make additional payments and schedule their orders online.

“We’re thrilled to bring our customers an enhanced, best-in-class shopping experience. This move reflects our commitment to providing seamless, omni-channel shopping, where customers can easily browse and purchase our high-quality furniture and mattresses, whether in-store or online,” said Nick V., Morris’ e-commerce merchandising manager. “At Morris Furniture Company, our goal has always been to blend convenience with the personal touch, and this partnership is the next step in delivering that promise.”
