CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Surya has completed the acquisition of RST Brands, an omnichannel outdoor furniture company based in Salt Lake City. Established in 2004, the company offers a range of outdoor products that include Sunbrella performance fabrics.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The strategic purchase will enable Surya to immediately gain market share and strengthen its capabilities in the rapidly growing outdoor furnishings segment.
“We are thrilled to bring the RST Brands team and business into the Surya family and look forward to the future growth opportunities we will pursue together,” said Surya President Satya Tiwari, adding, “Combining the strengths of both companies will enable us to accelerate our mission to become the most comprehensive resource for home furnishings for every lifestyle.”
Over the past decade, Surya has expanded its product portfolio. Now, the company will enhance its existing assortment of outdoor rugs, textiles and accents with outdoor furniture at all price points. The purchase of RST Brands marks the second strategic acquisition for Surya in the past six months. The company acquired Global Views earlier this year.
