DELAWARE, Ohio — Top 100 retailer American Freight opened a showroom in Clinton Township, Mich., according to a report from the Macomb Daily.
The report notes that the retailer, part of Franchise Group, opened the 25,000-square-foot store, located at Parkway Plaza on Groesbeck Highway, on Sept. 1.
The location is owned by Detroit businessmen Tom Purther, Scott Jacobson and Daniel Stern, who reportedly see the Motor City metro as ripe for expansion. “This is just the first of many locations we are planning to add to the Metro Detroit area,” Purther said in a statement to the Macomb Daily.
With the addition of Clinton Township, American Freight has 16 stores in Michigan, including five in the greater Detroit area.
