MINNEAPOLIS – Actress Kristen Wiig is donning a red vest and reprising her Target Lady character, this time to promote Target.
The retailer collaborated with Wiig, former SNL writer Jameson Anderson and director Tom Kuntz on a marketing campaign for Target Circle Week, which will return April 7-13. The campaign, which launches today, features 12 advertising spots that will run across a wide range of channels, including TV, digital, video, social and Target.com.
“Target Lady is incredibly special to me because it’s one of the characters I created at The Groundlings and ended up on SNL. She definitely loves Target! I mean, who doesn’t?” said Wiig. “It was so fun to bring her back after all this time, and we had so much fun imagining the world Target Lady sees inside the store today.”
Target Circle Week is open to members of the free Target Circle program. This special event’s deals will focus around prepping for family vacations and staycations as well as self-care and home. The deals go live at 2 a.m. CT on Sunday, April 7, and include:

I sincerely enjoyed what you’ve accomplished here. The sketch is fashionable, your written content chic, yet you appear to have developed some apprehension regarding what you aim to offer thereafter. Certainly, I shall return more frequently, just as I have been doing almost constantly, should you uphold this upswing.
