American Eco-Living brings new outdoor brand to Atlanta Market

DALLAS — American Eco-Living will debut its new outdoor furnishings brand, Murcano, at its new 5,700-square-foot showroom at Atlanta Market, July 15-18.

Based in Dongguan, China, and with North American headquarters in Dallas, American Eco-Living has more than 30 years of experience in outdoor furnishings. The company operates a 517,000-square-foot production facility in China and has expanded production with a teak and woven products facility in Indonesia and an acacia wood and weaving operation in Vietnam. Additionally, a distribution center in South Carolina has been established to reduce lead times and improve service.

“The location in South Carolina is a central hub for freight due to its easy access to multiple major interstates and highways, as well as its robust rail and inland port capacities,” said Jasmina Grbic, director of North America global sourcing, American Eco-Living. “The team in the family-owned distribution center has years of experience servicing both online and brick-and-mortar locations throughout the U.S., understands the importance of on-time deliveries and is easily integrated into the key retailer systems we already have on board.”

Murcano’s outdoor furniture line includes seating, dining and accent pieces made from teak, aluminum, acacia and high-density polyethylene. Notable products include the Cassara chat set in Grade A teak with weather-resistant cushions, the eco-friendly Eastlake chat set in HDPE, the Riverdale seven-piece dining set in solid teak with rope-weave chair backs and the Modena three-piece bar set in powder-coated aluminum with UV-resistant barstools.

“Our assortment reflects our 30-plus years of global outdoor furniture experience. Planning involved a depth of market data and consumer research, along with the art of choosing the right designs and styles, without overreaching into a vast array of colors or looks that would bog the program down,” said John Ridgeway, CEO, North America, American Eco-Living. “We focused not only on the consumer and their tastes, but how our products would align with the retailer to meet their objectives in sales, increased revenues per sale, profitability, quality and dependability.”

Murcano offers products at various price points, from mid to high-end, with factory-direct pricing aimed at enhancing retailer margins. The line was developed based on extensive market data and consumer research to align with retailer goals for sales and profitability.
