LIVERPOOL, N.Y. — Top 100 retailer Raymour & Flanigan will open its first store in Pittsfield, Mass., on June 3 according to a report from The Berkshire Edge.
The report says the Liverpool, N.Y.-based retailer is opening in a former Bed Bath & Beyond at The Shops at Unkamet Brook at 65 Merrill Road. Beyond opening the showroom, the report says that Raymour & Flanigan purchased the entire shopping center, which includes a Dick’s Sporting Goods and Panera Bread.
Pittsfield is in western Massachusetts, centrally located between Albany, N.Y., and Springfield, Mass., both of which have Raymour & Flanigan stores, meaning the newest showroom fills a gap in the market.
It’s the second opening in Massachusetts in rapid succession, as Raymour & Flanigan introduced itself to the Boston market on May 24.
