Maine retailer gins up interest in 2-sided mattresses with fun advertising campaign

AUBURN, Maine – Partnering with longtime mattress supplier Gold Bond, retailer Agren is touting the benefits of two-sided mattresses with a new ad campaign.

In its “You just need a great flippin’ mattress” campaign, the seven-store retailer based here boasts the benefits of double-sided mattresses through creative that portrays consumers referencing “flippin’ mattresses” in different store vignettes. Agren has created a new landing page to promote the products and showcase special offers.

“A new generation of consumers — many of whom never heard of two-sided mattresses — are waking up to the concept,” said Jason Pauley, chief operating officer of Agren. “They are longer lasting and really add tremendous value to the purchase at any price point.”

Gold Bond is the private-label partner for Agren’s two-sided mattress program, and this isn’t the first time the two family-owned companies have pooled efforts.

“We have always touted the benefits of two-sided mattresses because they perform better and last longer,” said Gold Bond CEO Bob Naboicheck. “Even when many other manufacturers moved away from the construction to save money, we have invested in it. The result is that consumers — young and older — are increasingly choosing two-sided beds.”
